Are you interested in beginning a UX project at your library, but not sure which approach is best for your institution? Do you find yourself getting caught up in all the jargon? RUSA’s Emerging Technologies Section (ETS) is hosting a program that you won’t want to miss.
Join us on Saturday, June 24 at 8:30am for “The Intentional Library: creating a better user experience with service design and design thinking.” This program will explore the intersection between design thinking, user experience, and service design. Speakers from libraries and the design industry will clarify each approach and provide you with practical applications for developing user-centered services to implement at your own institutions. Topics covered will be of interest to any type of library.
Speakers:
- Julka Almquist, Independent Designer/Researcher
- Juliana Culbert, User Experience Designer, Columbia College
- Annie Downey, Director of Research Services, Reed Library
- Joe Marquez, Web Services Librarian, Reed Library
