Marketing the 21st Century Library

Learn how to use marketing and promotions to plan for the future, engage with users, and improve awareness of the library profession.

Register for this four-week course beginning on May 20, 2019 which teaches you the difference between marketing and promotions and provides you with advice for when it’s best to implement strategic marketing plans and when it’s necessary to create promotions. Instructor Debra Lucas-Alfieri covers the principles of survey methods, project planning, staff support and buy in.

By the end of the course, you will be able to:

  • Create a marketing plan skeleton;
  • Strategically plan using the TIPR method (Think, Investigate, Plan, and React); and
  • Use marketing principles to drive change at your library
