CODES Convo: Building Book Communities – Partnering with Authors, Publishers, and Booksellers

Join us for the next RUSA CODES Convo on Tuesday, November 19th from 10am-6pm EST!

Do you want to attract more authors to your library, but you’re not sure how? Do you want to help local or mid-list authors find their audience? Books are still the library’s brand and connecting readers with books is a core library mission. Topics covered will include how to plan an author event or speaker series at your library, how to use social media to publicize books and connect with authors, and how to frame your library as a destination point for book discovery and exploration. CODES Conversations are focused electronic conversations on issues facing collection development and readers’ advisory librarians—or anyone interested in those areas. The conversations are open to all who wish to participate (or lurk)!
