Daphnie Neal, Student, Public Service Assistant II at Akron-Summit County Public Library, is awarded the BRASS Student Travel Award sponsored by SimplyAnalytics for her enthusiastic, early-career commitment to business librarianship; for her demonstrated efforts to disseminate important local company and industry research; and for excellence in her scholastic and professional endeavors. In her role as a Public Service Assistance in the Business and Government Department of the Akron-Summit County Public Library, Ms. Neal provides in-depth research consultation assistance to potential entrepreneurs.
Established in 1992, this $1,250 monetary prize is given to a student enrolled in an ALA accredited master’s degree program to fund travel to and attendance at the ALA Annual Conference and a one-year membership in the Business Reference and Services Section (BRASS) of RUSA.
