

Jason Coleman, Head, Library User Services Department, Associate Professor, Kansas State University Libraries, has been selected as the ETS Achievement Award winner for 2021.
Jason Coleman has made outstanding, sustained contributions to the Emerging Technology Section (ETS) of RUSA for several years and is highly deserving of the ETS Achievement Award. Jason is the Head of Library User Services at the Kansas State Libraries, has extensive experience providing virtual reference services to patrons, and has a passion for developing digital services and resources to support online learners. He consistently volunteers to serve on and chair ETS committees, has held a Member-at-Large position, and is currently the ETS Secretary.
Jason was instrumental in conceiving of and launching the section’s Best Emerging Technology Award. As co-chair of the inaugural committee, he and other section members worked diligently to get the award approved, market the call for submissions, and select a well-deserving winner from among 19 submissions!
The ETS Achievement Award is given annually to recognize excellence in service to RUSA’s Emerging Technologies Section (ETS). The recipient must have made either a sustained contribution toward attaining the goals of ETS, or a a single, significant contribution that has resulted in a positive impact upon the work of the section.
