Jennifer Daugherty is currently the Head of the North Carolina Collection in Academic Library Services at East Carolina University. She has been on the RUSA History Section History/Genealogy Award Committee and served as chair multiple times. She is currently the Chair of the Roundtable for Special Collections for the North Carolina Library Association and 2nd Vice President for the North Carolina Genealogical Society. In 2020, she received a William T. Buice III scholarship for Rare Book School at the University of Virginia. Her research interests include the history of North Carolina during the reconstruction period and historical narratives of marginalized people of the South.
