Lara Nicosia, Humanities Librarian, University of Rochester, is awarded the History Research and Innovation Award sponsored by Gale Cengage


Lara Nicosia was selected for her innovative project to develop a framework for analyzing and interpreting the scholarly contributions of history faculty and researchers. The goal is to publish an open access Humanities Publication Analysis Toolkit that will help librarians and scholars identify meaningful metrics for humanities publication analysis and provide a methodology for collecting and analyzing data for faculty publications.
A new member of the RUSA History section, Nicosia is currently a Humanities Librarian at the University of Rochester where she serves as the liaison for History, Religion and Classics, African and African-American Studies, and American Sign Language.
The selection committee was Chaired by Melissa Gonzalez.
