2022 STARS Virginia Boucher Distinguished ILL Librarian Award

Miriam Wnuk Selected for the STARS Virginia Boucher Distinguished ILL Librarian Award sponsored by OCLC

Miriam Wnuk

The award committee members were very impressed by Miriam’s heroic efforts for the ILL community to move forward during the COVID crisis. Her multi-year efforts keeping the Northwest ILL conference going, despite all the hardships they had to suffer, are recognized not only by the regional community, but also by the ILL community nationwide. It impacted everyone positively and made them feel still be a part of the greater resource sharing community despite all things around us.

A committee member stated that “I hear nothing but praise regarding the Northwest ILL conference, and it’s amazing to me how much work this Boucher candidate has put in to making it successful over the last two+ years, especially in light of the pandemic, losing half of her organization committee, converting the conference to virtual, increasing attendance, implementing DEI considerations, and all the while losing her job and then gaining another not even located in the Northwest”

The award committee sincerely appreciate Miriam’s works for our ILL community and Congratulate her!

As an award winner, the winner will receive a $2,000 monetary award sponsored by OCLC and  a certificate of appreciation.

The selection committee was Chaired by Peter Bae.
