Joseph Yue has been elected the 2022-23 President-Elect of the Reference and User Services Association (RUSA). Yue will serve his Presidential term during 2023-24.
“As RUSA leader, I will do my best to represent RUSA membership, to assist section leaders with projects and other priorities and to look for opportunities for synergy within and outside of RUSA.”
Joseph Yue is the librarian for humanities, social science and reference collections and for government information at the University of California, Los Angeles, Collection Manager of Humanities and Social Sciences since 2014, and Director of Digital Reference 2008-2011. Before arriving at UCLA, he worked in Reference Department at the University of Colorado, Boulder, and was Associate Faculty Director of the William M. White Business Library there.
Joseph has a B.A. in English and Sociology and minor in Music and MLIS from University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. He has been an active member in RUSA since 2004, serving as member and chair of division and section level committees.
