Henry Huang, Reference and Research Services Librarian for Business, New York University Shanghai Library, named winner of the 2024 BRASS Academic Business Librarianship Travel Award sponsored by Global Financial Data

Henry is a Reference and Research Services Librarian for Business at NYU Shanghai. While having a long career in libraries, Henry started his MLS in 2022 and will receive it this coming May 2024. The committee was impressed with his continued interest in business librarianship, professional development, research, and our professional networks. Although working in China, Henry has participated in the BRASS LibGuides Editing Group and 2022 ALA Annual Conference. Given the significant distance between Annual and Shanghai, the committee hopes this award will defray a significant amount of the cost of travel to San Diego, and enable Henry to increase participation with BRASS. – Award Committee Statement

Henry Huang has been selected as the 2024 winner of the BRASS Academic Business Librarianship Travel Award sponsored by Global Financial Data. The grant consists of $1,250 and is awarded to an individual new to the field of academic business librarianship in order to support attendance to the ALA Annual Conference.
