Message from BRASS Chair
Hello,
Many thanks to everyone serving on BRASS committees and for all your work. Your contributions make BRASS a wonderful organization.
If you are attending ALA Midwinter in Atlanta, please join us at the All Committee Meeting on Sunday, January 22nd from 8:30 – 10:00 a.m. in the Georgia World Congress Center, room A305. As a reminder, at Midwinter, BRASS only holds this all-committee meeting. That said, BRASS offerings for sharing ideas and learning continues throughout the year with virtual discussions coordinated by our Discussion Group Steering Committee and virtual forums hosted by our Business Reference in Academic Libraries Committee. Also, stay-tuned for new webinar learning opportunities in 2017 coordinated by our Education Committee. Look for announcements of activities on brass-l and see below for more on the work of our committees.
Best wishes for the new year!

Business Reference in Public Libraries
Our committee is growing! We are happy to welcome four new members to the committee who have come to us after being guests during ALA Annual.
The committee is currently working on finalizing next year’s forum topic, which will focus on supporting the local business community through reference services, programming and resources. A panel of business librarians who are at different points in their business center development will speak, along with time for Q&A. Details to be released in early 2017.
Sal DiVincenzo, 2015 – 2017 Chair

Program Planning Committee
We are continuing to work on our program “Demystifying the Federal Reserve.” Several committee members attended the Beyond the Number Conference at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis in October where we had an opportunity to touch base with our presenter, Dr. Christian Zimmermann, Assistant Vice President of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. In addition, we honed our message for the flyer and other promotional materials, so that we can promptly start advertising in January. Hope to see y’all in Chicago!
Natasha Arguello, 2016 – 2017 Chair
