Hello STARS,
This fall has flown by and I can hardly believe we’re gearing up for the Midwinter Meeting in just two months. If you’re coming to Atlanta and are currently serving on a STARS committee, be sure to attend our All Committee Meeting on Saturday (January 21st) morning from 8:30-10 a.m. in Room A301 of the Georgia World Congress Center. If you’re coming to Atlanta and aren’t yet a STARS committee member – come anyway! This is an open meeting and you’re welcome to sit at any of the committee tables to listen, learn, contribute and consider joining our lively team! (Hint – someone usually brings donuts.)
We have two programs planned:
- Discussion Forum 1 – At 10am on Saturday (January 21st), the ILL Discussion Group will meet in room B204 of the Georgia World Congress Center. Come prepared to discuss topics related to resource sharing and interlibrary loan. Listeners and conversationalists both welcome!
- Discussion Forum 2 – That same afternoon, Saturday (January 21st), the ILL Hot Topics Discussion groups will meet in room B204 of the Georgia World Congress Center to have a facilitated discussion about broad topics related to Resource Sharing, remote storage, loan periods, and other topics near and dear to our hearts.
- Looking forward to seeing a number of you at the Midwinter meeting, and the rest of you on the listservs and in online committee meetings. On behalf of all of us in STARS, thank you for the contribution of your attention, thoughtfulness, hard work, and creativity on behalf of researchers at your own institutions and elsewhere around the globe!
Best,
Heidi Nance
