Mastering Emotional Intelligence

Register for the upcoming Mastering Emotional Intelligence course beginning on September 9, 2019.

 

Emotional Intelligence (EI) is an indispensable skill that can help you and your staff communicate more effectively and help foster a more inclusive library environment. EI is a trait that can be cultivated, and in this four-week course, we will discuss theories about developing emotionally intelligent staff through training, mentoring, and succession planning.

 

2020 ALA Annual Conference Program Proposals are Now Open

2020 ALA Annual Conference Program Proposals are Now Open

ALA Conference Services will begin accepting program proposals on June 10, 2019, for the 2020 ALA Annual Conference, to take place in Chicago, IL, June 25-30, 2020. Once again, proposals will be accepted via for all ALA Divisions, RoundTables, Committees and Offices.

 

Programs at the Annual Conference are one-hour educational sessions on a topic that is relevant to the library profession. Submissions are open to anyone, regardless of ALA membership status.
