Greetings, friends and colleagues!
I hope this message finds you well and safe.
As we begin a new ALA appointment year, I want to thank all the member volunteers whose time, expertise, and effort are the foundation of all that RUSA contributes to ALA and to our broader profession.
I look forward to working closely with all RUSA members over the coming year, and I invite each of you to contact me directly (firstname.lastname@example.org) with your ideas, concerns, or suggestions regarding how RUSA can support you and your work, especially in these unsettling and unprecedented times.
We were very glad to see the enthusiastic response to the RUSA Virtual Town Hall held
last month (access the recording). I want to extend a personal invitation to each of you to join us for next week's RUSA Town Hall on the Definition of Reference - find details and a link to register below. We're looking forward to seeing you there, and hearing your perspectives and insights as we work together to change the Definition of Reference.
To close, I hope that you will plan to join us at each of the Town Hall Tuesdays to be scheduled throughout the coming year - look for more detailed information on dates and times very soon. I'm excited about these upcoming opportunities for learning, for discussion, and for connection.
